Decision regarding 14 April incident in Taulov
Dear colleagues,
Regarding the events on the evening of 14 April 2019, we have learned about a physical altercation among two colleagues happening on the company premises in Taulov. We have investigated the incident and our conclusions are the following:
- The colleagues involved were in breach of the zero-tolerance alcohol and drugs consumption policy on the company premises;
- The behavior exhibited a lack of professional courtesy towards you, the other colleagues; As a result of the authority’s involvement (the Police) there reputation of Anneberg Transport was affected;
- The actions/reaction of the involved colleagues and their peers involved in settling the conflict resulted in some damage/destruction of property.
After a careful consideration, we decided to apply a series of disciplinary actions according to their involvement as follows:
- Both colleagues will be subjected to a disciplinary action of ”suspension without payment” for 7 days;
- The cost of repair / replacement of damaged property will be charged to both colleagues as per the legal regulations;
- The colleagues will be banned from spending the 45h breaks in Taulov for a certain period of time;
- The persons involved will be required to issue a public apology towards you, the fellow colleagues;
- As part of their professional development plan, they will be required to attend an individual anger management seminar or individual phycological counselling.
We recognize that the unacceptable behavior exhibited into an enabling environment, as a result all of you, the employees which were present in Taulov during the incident will have to attend a 90-minute, (i) cultural awareness; and (ii) work environment sensitization seminar.
We are condemning in the strongest terms, the incident. It goes without saying that such a further escalation will result in immediate termination of employment for both colleagues involved. We trust that everyone will learn the proper lessons and that such incidents will no further occur.
