Reloading / transfer of any product on a public place is strictly restricted.

Consequently, the company provides a safe transfer area in Taulov where such operations are to be conducted only in accordance to the below procedures and exclusively in the approved reloading place (2). In the event that product is spilled / lost during the transfer, the underground collecting container can accommodate up to 40,000 l. It is of crucial importance that both tankers are correctly positioned inside the marked area (next to each other as shown in the image). 

Procedure of product transfer on the approved reloading site:

This procedure must be strictly observed.

1. The key from key box (4) will be used to open:

• door no (5), to access the hall, for rapid access to the spill kit and the rainwater evacuation pump from the collection pit
• door no (7), to access the key cabinet, toilets and kitchen area.

1. The driver will locate the emergency showers and test it (12).
2. The rainwater evacuation pump will be activated by pressing the switch (10). The pump should run until the collection well is fully drained of rainwater. The drivers will note any odours or visible oil film on the rainwater flow. If the rainwater is contaminated, the driver will stop the pumping and contact the office on +45 96 92 22 22 to dispatch a specialised tanker for the disposal of contaminated products.
3. When the collection well is pumped dry, turn the switch off and return the key into the key cabinet (9).
4. The hose connection between the two tankers must be located as shown in (2).
5. Before reloading starts, the drivers will ensure the tank semi-trailer that will receive the product:
   1. is empty or has enough capacity for the product quantity to be transferred. 
   2. the receiving tanker has a cleaning certificate, or that the product to be transferred is the same or at least compatible with the previous product in the empty tanker.
6. A 6m safety exclusion zone around the trucks will be defined and only the two drivers will be allowed inside the product transfer area. 
7. The drivers will observe the product reloading / transfer procedure at all times, paying particular attention to the following:
   1. Wearing the mandatory PPE required for the transferred product.
   2. The transfer will be done exclusively through the bottom unloading pipes at both tankers.
   3. For the transfer will be used, exclusively approved hoses, adaptors with new gaskets.
   4. The dome covers (manhole) will be maintained closed during the operation on both tankers and the airflow will be carefully controlled through the air ducts of both tankers as per the procedure
   5. The transfer pressure will be maintained up to a maximum of 1 bar. For the last leg of the load you will reduce this pressure to 0.6 bar;
8. The most senior driver between the two will be in charge of the procedure, the second driving assisting at all times. If there is not clear seniority, the driver with the loaded tanker at the beginning of the procedure will be in charge. 
9. For the whole during the transfer both drivers will remain alert in the close vicinity of the tankers. While the product flow is running, chatting will be kept to a minimum (minimise distractions).
10. In case of product spill, regardless of quantity:
    1. the driver in charge will apply and control the incident response procedure
    2. the product flow will be stopped immediately
    3. the spill kit will be used to contain the spilled product
    4. the driver in charge will report the incident to +45 96 92 22 22 so that the well can be emptied and the product disposed

2		Liquid cargo transfer / reloading area	Transhipment of liquid products, before the transhipment begins the well must be emptied of rainwater, see sections 8-9-10 and 11. This area is not suitable for bitumen transfers, as the solidified product will clog the collection system and incapacitate the spill collection well. Under no circumstances, this area will be used as a parking spot for a vehicle or for a rest period (e.g.  45 min, daily rest or weekly rest).
3		Washing area,  Emergency Shower and Eyewash station	Washing area must only be used for washing truck’s mirrors, windows or the interior of the cabin. This area is not suitable for washing the truck exterior, or the tankers interior or exterior. Cleaning with water or other chemicals may be done exclusively in this area, as the drainage is fitted with a separator. Under no circumstance this area will be used for product transfers.
4, 5		Access to keys cabinet, kitchen, toilets and rooms.	A key for the main doors is stored securely in a code protected locker found at right of the entrance to the driver’s quarter.  To open the secure locker use the code 1 5 0 0. The key fits in top locks on all main entrance doors. Always remember to return the key in the secure locker, and scramble the code after use.
6, 7		Access to hall and storage lockers
8		Spill collection well	Well for the collection vessel which is connected to (2) transhipment site, will naturally get a lot of rainwater in it so it is important that it is emptied before each discharge is started see (10)
9		Keys cabinet	The locker can hold 100 keys. After parking your vehicle or personal car it is important you leave the key inside the key cabinet. For the parked / unattended trucks, each key shall be hanged under the internal number of the vehicle. Prior to reloading, the pump well (8) will be emptied by retrieving the pump activation key that hangs at position 100 in the key box and is marked with “4 Pump” (9).
10		Activation of rainwater pump from collection well	The pump for the well (8) is activated with the key from position 100 in the cabinet (9), the key is marked with “ 4 pump” after the end of pumping the switch is switched off and the key will be returned to cabinet (9).
11		Discharge of rainwater (exclusively) from the collection well	Any rainwater from the collection well must be removed before reloading.The water must not present odours or have visible oil film or other contaminants, if this is the case the pumping must not be started. The office MUST BE notified at +45 96 92 22 22 to arrange proper disposal of the contaminated water.
12		Emergency shower and eyewash station	Emergency showers are placed at the end of the house, test it before engaging in any product transfer operation.
13		Oil separator and sand trap indicator for the large parking lot and washing place	These must be checked periodically. If the alarm is on, the office MUST BE notified at +45 96 92 22 22 to arrange proper disposal.
14		Pre-filled oil separator alarm is inside the kitchen	This is for oil separators in the large parking lot as well as at the washing area, if it is lit when you are in the canteen contact the office +45 96 92 22 22
15 , 16		Fire hoses	Use only in case of fire. Abuse will be penalised.
17		Electric emergency stop for large spill in parking lot	If there is a large spill in the parking lot  (e.g. if a tanker semi trailer is leaking), this valve must be activated so that the internal draining system is separated from the to the pluvial water public drain. If the automatic emergency function does work, the spilled product will start pooling in the yard (expected behaviour). When activated an orange lamp will flash on top of the Electric Emergency Stop. If the above step has been completed, yet, the spilled product is still disappearing down the public drainage system, the main valve can be manually closed by pushing the a rod down into the well cover (C). As soon as the emergency stop is active, call the +45 96 92 22 22 and report the incident.

Environmental accidents:

In the event of environmental accidents, the following action plan must be followed carefully:

1. The electric Emergency Stop button that sits on the gable of the building must be activated. Alternatively (if emergency stop does not work) the emergency valve can be closed manually through  well cover, this stops fluid from flowing into the public sewer system to limit and prevent environmental damage. 
2. Stop the spill (if possible) and attempt to limit the anvergure of the incident without exposing yourself to any personal risk.  
3. In the case of minor spills, the spill kit (or cat litter sprinkled over the liquid) will be used to absorb the liquid. When the waste is sucked up, the spill kit / the cat litter must be collected and stored in the provided specialised container. Under no circumstances the leftovers of product or of the used spill kit or will be disposed of in the general waste bin. 
4. The driver in charge will call the +45 96 92 22 22 and report the incident (regardless of the spilled quantity). The disposed product and any contaminated leftovers will have to be removed from the site and handled properly. If outside working hours call the Safety and Security Manager, Sven Anneberg on mobile +45 24 86 22 10, or alternatively the CEO, Georg Anneberg, mobile +45 24 86 22 01. 
5. If deemed necessary, Anneberg’s on-duty Incident Response Manager will call the public Emergency Services (e.g. 112). When briefed, the driver will be required to ensure that the entrance grid gate is open when the emergency or rescue services arrive on site.
